Local Baltimore artist Eric Abrecht and illustrator Andy Snair, conceptualized, designed and installed the "Our Baltimore" mural.
While students at Maryland Institute of Art (MICA), Eric and Andy began what would become a lifelong collaboration, creating numerous interior and exterior murals throughout the Mid-Atlantic region and across the country.
The inspiration for "Our Baltimore" is Charm City itself and the many reasons we are proud to call her "ours." It is a simple, yet powerful statement that visually illustrates all the local and authentic imagery sentimental and special to those that live here, and that intrigues others to visit this wonderful place--a colorful, proud and quirky community with an energy all its own.
Widely recognized icons like the Preakness at Pimlico Racetrac, the Bromo Seltzer Tower and the Patterson Park Pagoda, to local delicacies such as Maryland Blue Crabs, oysters on the half shell, or a simple lemon stick on a hot summer day, spotlight just a fraction of the amazing things that make this special place "Our Baltimore".
