Inscription. How do I join the Military as an Enlisted Service Member?
• Find a recruiting station
• Go thru testing and evaluation. If accepted, you sign a contract with the US Military, typically for 4 years.
• You take an Oath of Enlistment to "Vow to defend the U.S. Constitution and obey the Uniform Code of Military Justice."
• When your contract ends, you can extend, renew, or leave the army.

What happens after I enlist?
• Basic training for 10 weeks, where you will learn to work as a member of a team by learning discipline and the core values of the US Military.
• After Basic, you will go to Advanced Individual Training (AIT) for special skills training in your designated field.
