1. “Far From Thy Valley…” Marker
Inscription. Erected to honor the students and alumni/ae who have gone forth from this hill to serve their country and humanity over more than a century and a half, especially the more than 5,000 members of the U.S. Navy and Marine Corps who began their training and service in World War II at Colgate, those who returned to complete their work after serving their country, their wives and the members of the Colgate University family who worked with them. May they know they will be a part of Colgate forever.
