Inscription. (1908-1991) Grew up in Beaver Dam, Wisconsin. American actor and singer during the Golden Age of Cinema. He was best known for being a leading man in screwball comedies including The Egg and I. Over 80 leading Hollywood roles including Double Indemnity, and Disneys productions of The Absent-Minded Professor, The Happiest Millionaire and The Shaggy Dog. He also starred in the television series My Three Sons from 1960 to 1972.
