John Quincy Pugh, Jr., age 101, of Asheboro died Thursday, September 10, 2015 at Clapp's Convalescent Nursing Home. Mr. Pugh was born in Greensboro on October 12, 1913 to John Q. Pugh, Sr. and Alice Davidson Pugh. He served his country in the Army Air Corps during WWII. John was the founder of Pugh Oil Company and retired after 35 years of service. He was a member of Asheboro United Church of Christ.
