Inscription.
This Mediterranean shrub fills the summer air with the mellow vanilla-honey scent that rises from its bright yellow flowers. This plant thrives on neglect and does very well in poor, well-drained soil.

It has been used for centuries in the treatment of respiratory, heart, bladder and uterine affected conditions. The young herbaceous tips of flowering shoots and the seeds can be used for this purpose however, the active ingredients in the plant are very changeable so it makes it unreliable medicinally.

An excellent fibre is obtained from the bark which can be used in the manufacture of paper, cloth and nets.

Tor ó réigiún na Meánmhara é seo. Sa samhradh liontar an t-aer leis an gcumhrán suaimhneach fanaile agus meala a thagann ó na bláthanna geala buí. Fásann an planda seo go flúirseech in áiteanna neamhshaothraithe agus in ithir bhocht atá draenáilte go maith.

Tá sé in úsáid leis na céadta bliain le fadhbanna riospráide, croí, lamhnáin agus útaracha a chóireáil. Cé gur féidir barr lusach na mbuinneog faoi bhláth agus na síolta a úsáid le haghaidh na bhfadhbanna áirithe sin, tá na comhchodanna gníomhacha sa phlanda an-athraitheach agus ní féidir brath air ó thaobh leighis de.

Faightear snáithín den scoth ón choirt agus baintear úsáid as le páipéar, éadach agus eangacha a dhéanamh.
