Cong Hands of Fame Award
Hands Around the World
The 'Cong Hands of Fame Award' is bestowed to those who have done more than their share to promote Ireland and Irish culture both at home and abroad. It is our own boulevard of fame and recipients have been nominated by you, the public. CHOFA award winners receive the freedom of Cong and are entitled to walk and water their ducks whenever and wherever in the village.
This sculpture is in tribute to all those who served and in memory of all those who died during the Covid pandemic.
Brightness remains; a brighter star shoots down."
W.B. Yeats
