1. Site of the Lighthouse Restaurant Marker
Inscription. The Lighthouse Restaurant was a family business, operated for many years by Minnie and George Helt. The restaurant advertised "home cooking" in its earlier years, and in the 1950s, after being remodeled, it featured a soda fountain and ice cream parlor. The restaurant (in the foreground at left in this image), and the two houses seen next to it, were demolished in 1964. The buildings on the right side of the street are still standing as Historic Richmond Town's Guyon Tavern, Bennett House, and Schwiebert House.
