Le terrain de balle a été nommé en l'honneur de Gilles Alexandre (1949-2022) pour souligner sa contribution remarquable aux activités sportives de St-Jacques-le-Mineur. Au-delà de ses nombreuses années d'implication comme pompier volontaire il a été l'initiateur de la ligue de balle de SJLM en 1980.
Il y a participé activement, tant à titre de Joueur, entraîneur, arbitre et organisateur de nombreux tournois ici comme ailleurs.
Gilles était un homme généreux qui a donné une grande partie de son temps à la communauté Jacqueminoise.
He actively participated, as a player, coach, referee, and organizer of numerous tournaments here and elsewhere.
Gilles was a generous man who gave much of his time to the St-Jacques-le-Mineur community.
