Kylemore in County Galway, Connacht, Ireland — Irish West ((Ιire) North Atlantic Ocean)
Kylemore Castle Ash Pit
Recent renovations revealed THIS STRUCTURE, which dates
back to when the CASTLE WAS BUILT in the 1860s. Although
we cannot be sure of its purpose, we believe it may have
been an ASH PIT, where embers from all the fireplaces and
ranges in the castle were placed.
Erected by Kylemore Abbey.
