This stone comes from the grist mill built by George Keefer along the first Welland Canal in 1827

This cluster of exhibits is at a junction of walking paths, just north of the 2nd canal lock and the bandshell. The "1827 Stone" is just up the right-hand pathway (just to the right of the big boulder).
