Inscription.
In recognition of his commitment to Beloit, its citizens and institutions, this bridge is dedicated to the memory of Ken Hendricks (1941 - 2007).

As an entrepreneur, philanthropist, visionary and motivator, Ken Hendricks dedicated his life and his personal resources to the redevelopment of Beloit. He transformed the community by repurposing previously abandoned buildings, including the redevelopment of the Fairbanks Morse sited into the BC Supply National Support Center, the restoration of the Beloit Ironworks complex, and the commissioning of heritage art along the Rock River. Ken's efforts helped to boost civic pride, restore confidence, and inspire many citizens to once again believe in themselves and their community. He served a a board member of numerous local organizations, and was an enthusiastic supporter of efforts to enhance educational opportunities for our young people. Most important of all, Ken devoted his knowledge, skill, experience, and capital to help the people of Beloit by investing in local businesses and creating jobs for its citizens.
