The Original J.P. Cannon and Sons Drug Store. . During the 1880's before this building was constructed in 1898, the site was home to a shoe maker, photo gallery and dry goods store. Operating on the bottom floor of the building from 1899-1947 was J.P. Cannon and Sons Drug Store. The original building had two sections and an upstairs. Top floor tenants included the telephone company, office of Dr. Jeff D. Reddick, D.D.S and the office of Dr. Harris T. Collier, M.D. When Cannon's moved in 1947, Gwaltney's Men's wear occupied the south section of the building. In 1956, Jim Alexander's insurance office opened in the space formerly occupied by Gwaltney's and that same year, Dr. Caldwell occupied the north side of the structure. In 1986, West and West Law Office hung their shingle on the building. After extensive historic renovation, it opened as the McKenzie Station Bar and Grill in 2019.
