1. The Arcade Saloon Marker

Inscription. The Arcade saloon was located on the corner of Broadway and Lee Street and operated from 1870-1885. The proprietor of the establishment was J.H. Coleman who touted himself as a "saloonist." Coleman advertised that a patron could buy the purest liquors and wine for less money in his bar, and that bars in Nashville, Memphis, St. Louis, Cincinnati, and Louisville couldn't beat the variety of drinks he served.
