1. The Dove Block Marker

Inscription. The Dove Block was designed by Rochester architect Andrew Jackson Warner. William G. Dove, Geneva contractor and businessman, commissioned and opened the commercial block in 1878. It was operated by his son, Paul Dove, until 1978. The building was rescued in 2006 by Elizabeth Wenman and later restored by The Dove Block Restoration Group. DCMB Ventures purchased the building in 2021. The building is dedicated to Arthur Dove, the renowned modern American artist.
