Inscription. This brick facade is part of the original structure that housed the historic Bothell Cooperative Mercantile Company. In 1906, a group of merchants, teachers, and farmers founded the co-op and built the long-standing brick store in 1908. The Merc Apartments now honors its history by serving the community of Bothell and showcasing a recreation of the Mercantile's hand-painted signage at a smaller scale.
