1. "Rory Calhoun" Marker
Inscription.
"Rory Calhoun". . Rory Calhoun met actor Alan Ladd, who was riding horses in the Hollywood Hills, and Ladd who was impressed with Rory's physique got an intro to Ladds wife, Sue Carol. Carol happened to be an agent and soon he was in front of cameras being tested at 20th Century Fox. From the late 40's to early 50's Rory kept on showing up in roles that showed his masculinity and action prowess. He was on his way with a variety of films that included "Masacre River", Raw Edge", "Sliver Whip", "How to Marry a Millionaire", "Red Sundown", "Apache Territory". Rory and Victor Orsatti formed a partnership and they both took credit for their efforts, 1954 rolled around and Rory traveled to Utah for the outdoor scenes "Yellow Tomahock", co-starring Lee Vancleef and Jon Vohs. Rory starred for two seasons in the hit western T.V. show "The Texan", that can be seen to this day. Rory was immensely popular with his fans and he won many accolades for his work. His films hold up and Rory Calhoun is being re-discovered by film scholars around the world.
