Arundel Tower
Sir John Arundel, a Knight and Keeper of Southampton in 1377, could also be the tower's namesake.
in 1400, you could have looked out from Arundel Tower and heard the lapping of water below. The tower's open-backed design prevented attackers from holding it, while the wall, running south along the shore of the River Test, protected the town from sea raids.
