1. Stuart Randall Marker
Inscription. Stuart began his career as a singer in the 1930's, entering the theater in the early 1940's and in 1950 became a popular character actor in movies and television. Stuart once stated that he had been type-cast as sheriffs and other law enforcement personnel. Stuart was best known for his role as Sheriff Mort Cory in "Laramie", the popular television series of the early 1960's, with several episodes being filmed right here in Kanab. Stuart Randall guest starred in three movies filmed in the Kanab area "Bugles In The Afternoon" 1952, "Pony Express" 1953, and "Southwest Passage" in 1954. He also appeared in two episodes of Death Valley Days, also filmed in Kanab.
