1. "Tony Curtis" Marker
Inscription. International superstar, Tony Curtis, began his illustrious career right here in Kanab. It was 1949 and Tony Curtis was co-starring with Audie Murphy, Wanda Hendrix and Burl Ives in "Sierra" for Universal Studios. It was not long before Tony was starring in such classics as "The Vikings," the "Defiant Ones," and the classic comedy, "Some Like it Hot," with Jack Lemmon and Marilyn Monroe. Tony's fame spread further than just acting as he was an accomplished painter, with his works being in selected Galleries and Private Collections world wide. A fine gentleman and beloved actor we all miss.

29, 2010) was an American actor with a career that spanned six decades, achieving the height of his popularity in the 1950s and early 1960s. He acted in more than 100 films, in roles covering a wide range of genres. In his later years, Curtis made numerous television appearances.
