1. Adelbert and Edith Pack Eldredge House Marker

Inscription.

This one-story Queen Anne Victorian-style house was built by Adelbert and Edith in 1898. Several years later, a one-and-one-half story matching yellow brick carriage house was built at the rear of the house. This complex one-story house has a variety of forms, decorative motifs and roof shapes. The three tall chimneys feature corbeled masonry chimney caps and terra cotta chimney pots. The carriage house at the rear is Victorian eclectic in style and has a rectangular block plan.

Adelbert was born August 23, 1863, to Horace Sunderlin Eldredge, a pioneer of 1848, and Hannah Adams, his third Polygamist wife. Adelbert was a rancher and gentleman farmer and served as director of the Farmers State Bank, which was established by John Fackrell. Adelbert also served as first counselor in the Bishopric of the West Bountiful Ward of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Edith Olive Pack was born March 17, 1865, to John Pack, an early Utah pioneer, and Mary Jane Walker.
