1. John Robert Sinnock Marker
Inscription.
Sergeant Sinnock, the son of Mrs. Madelin Sinnock, was born in Massillon. He was a 1966 graduate of Tuslaw High School and a member of Holy Trinity Lutheran Church. A fire team leader with D Troop, Third Squadron, Seventeenth Cavalry, Twelfth Aviation Group, First Aviation Brigade, Sinnock was fatally wounded by a rocket-propelled grenade during an assault on enemy positions at Ben Muong. Sergeant Sinnock exposed himself to enemy fire to direct his squad in the assault. For this action he was awarded the Bronze Star with "V" device. Preceded in death by his father, Carl C. Sinnock, he is buried at Mount Rose Cemetery, Saltville, Virginia.
