Inscription.
Lance Corporal Berry, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Willard D. Berry-serving with Company C, First Shore Party Battalion, First Marine Division was killed when the helicopter in which he was a passenger crashed into the South China Sea near Chu Lai. Also on board the aircraft were his lifelong friends, Lance Corporals William F. Coyne and Richard E. Fuchs, both of Massillon. Born in Massillon, Berry was a 1964 graduate of Washington High School and a member of Grace United Church of Christ. Timothy Dale Berry is buried at Massillon Cemetery.
