Regarding Allegheny HYP Club (Harvard-Yale-Princeton Club). A private social club founded on November 7, 1930, it was designated a Pittsburgh Historic Landmark in 2002. On July 1, 1997, the The Harvard Yale Princeton Club absorbed the Pittsburgh Club membership and assets and in 2002 merged with the Allegheny Club after the Allegheny had filed for bankruptcy protection.
