CWO David Gibbs, age 38, enlisted in the Marine Corps in 1980 after graduating high school. David served 4 years with the Marines and re-enlisted in the U.S. Army in 1985 where he served as Chief Warrant Officer for 14 years as a 152F AH-64A Helicopter Pilot and an Attack Instructor Pilot. David was killed when his Apache helicopter crashed in Albania during the NATO Military Operation in Bosnia and Kosovo. The son of Charles and Dorothy Gibbs was born in Massillon, OH. He graduated from Massillon Washington High School in 1980 where he played football for the Massillon Tigers. He graduated from Embry Riddle Aeronautical University with his BA and MA degrees. He is survived by his parents, his wife Jean Gibbs, his children Allison, Megan, and David, his sister Pamela, and his brother Charles. He is buried at Arlington National Cemetery in Arlington, VA.
