1. Jesse Ryan Buryj Marker
Specialist Jesse Buryj, a two year Army Veteran and Military Police Officer, enlisted in the Army September of 2002 and was killed in Karbala, Iraq during Operation Iraqi Freedom. He was serving in the 66th MP Company, 82nd Airborne Division, Fort Lewis, Washington. The son of Peggy and Steve Buryj, Jesse was born in Canton, OH. He is a 2002 graduate of Canton McKinley High School where he played in the Marching Band and served in the Canton City Police Youth Corp. Jesse's career goal was to become a Canton City Police Officer. Jesse is survived by his wife, Amber, his parents and his sister Angela Sokol. Jesse is buried in St. Peter's Roman Catholic Church Cemetery, Canton, Ohio.
