Inscription.
Lt. Jason "Catdog" Manse, age 30, a eleven year Navy Veteran, was commissioned an Ensign in the Navy May of 1997. Jason was killed during a Naval Training Mission over the Chattahochee National Forest in Georgia. He served as a flight officer the S-3 Viking with Sea Control Squadron VS-38, which is a part of Carrier Air Wing 2 on the USS Constellation. Catdog flew 50 combat missions over Iraq during Operations Southern Watch and Iraqi Freedom stationed on the USS Constellation. The son of Ron and Cindy Manse was born in Canton, OH. He graduated from Central Catholic High School in 1993 where he was All Ohio Division III in Football as a kicker and All Ohio-State Champ Division II Track. Jason graduated from the Duke University and Naval ROTC in 1997 with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in History and a four year track letterman. He is survived by his wife Tammy Manse, his son Griffith, his parents, and his brother Aaron Manse. He is buried at Arlington National Cemetery in Arlington, VA.
