Inscription.
SFC Daniel Crabtree, age 31, a 14 year Army Veteran and a Green Beret, enlisted in the Army in June 1992, was killed during Operation Iraqi Freedom by an 1.E.D. roadside bomb in AL Kut, Iraq. He was serving in the Ohio Army National Guard, Company B, 2nd Battalion, 19th Special Forces Group (Airborne) in Columbus, Ohio, after serving in the 135th Military Police Company. The son of Ronald Wayne Crabtree and Judy Ann Crabtree was born in Columbus, OH. He graduated from Lake High School in 1993 where he played Baseball and Soccer. Daniel graduated from the University of Akron's Police Academy and served as a Police Officer with the Hartville Police Department and Cuyahoga Falls Police Departments. He is survived by his wife Kathy, his daughter Mallory, his parents, his brother Ronald and his sister Debra. He is buried at Greenlawn Cemetery in Uniontown, OH.
