Inscription.
CPL Zachary Grass, age 22, a two year Army Veteran, enlisted in the Army February of 2005. Zachary was killed during Operation Iraqi Freedom by an I.E.D. roadside bomb in Rashidiyah, Iraq. He was serving the Charlie Battery, 2nd Battalion, 12th Field Artillery Regiment, 4th Brigade, 2nd Infantry Division from Fort Lewis, Washington. The son of Frank and Patti Grass was born in Canton, OH. He graduated from Fairless High School in 2003 where he played guard on the Basketball team and was a pitcher and third baseman on the Baseball team. He is survived by his parents and his brother Ben. He is buried at Welty Cemetery in Beach City, OH.
