Sgt. Nicholas A. Casey, age 22, a four year Army Veteran and Human Intelligence Collector Specialist, enlisted in the Army in 2004 was killed in Afghanistan while in support of combat operations. He was serving with Headquarters Support Company, 3rd Battalion, 7th Special Forces Airborne Group, Fort Hood, Texas. The son of Samuel Casey Jr. and Deborah and Dennis Mitchell was born in Canton, OH. He graduated from Timken Senior High School in 2004 where he was active in Football, Baseball and Bowling. He enlisted in the Air Force after graduation and transitioned into the U.S. Army. He is survived by his wife Rachelle, his children Nicholas II and Curtis, his parents, his brother Samuel and his sister Amber. He is buried at North Lawn Cemetery in Canton, Ohio.
