SSG Kevin J. Kessler, age 32, a six year Army Veteran, enlisted in the Army July of 2004, was killed in Arghandab River Valley, Afghanistan during an attack on his unit's vehicle by an IED. Kevin served two tours in Iraq during Operation Iraqi Freedom. He was serving 4th Brigade Support Battalion, 1st Brigade Combat Team, 4th Infantry Division from Fort Carson, Colorado. The son of Kris and Rod Williams and Larry and Sue Kessler was born in Canton, OH. He graduated from East Canton High School in 1996 where he was the Vice President of his Senior Class. He is survived by his wife Adrian Kessler, his daughter Amelia, his parents, his sisters; Emily Lightner and Laura Rohr, and his brother Dan Kessler. He is buried at Calvary Cemetery in Perry Township, OH.
