Sgt. Daniel J. Patron, age 26, an eight year Marine Veteran, enlisted in the Marine Corps July of 2003, was killed while conducting combat operation as an EOD Tech in Sangin, Afghanistan in the Helmand Province. He was serving the 8th Engineer Support Battalion, 2nd Marine Logistics Group, II Marine Expeditionary Force from Camp Lejeune, North Carolina. Danny was serving his third tour of duty during Operation Enduring Freedom. The son of Frank and Kathleen Patron was born in Canton, OH. He graduated from Perry High School in 2003 where he was involved with Perry High School Speech, Perry Theatre as their Theatre President, the Perry Choir and the Perry Marching and Symphonic Bands. He is survived by his wife Cody D. Patron, his parents, and his brother Matt Patron. He is buried at Calvary Cemetery in Perry Township, OH.
