1. The Loom House Marker

Inscription. Even as the Industrial Revolution continued elsewhere in the world, those on the frontier during the nineteenth century had to produce much of their own, including their textiles and clothing. This one-room cabin was donated by the Wade family and moved to Discovery Park from Kenton, Tennessee, in 2012. It is now home to a nineteenth-century loom and many other tools that weavers would have needed to ply their trade.
