1. Caboose Marker

Inscription.

The caboose carried the conductor and brakeman at the end of a freight train, so they could monitor the air brakes, watch for derailments, and throw track switches when necessary. This caboose was built in Montreal by CN Rail in 1976, and used between Toronto and Sarnia. It was sold to CFRHS and repainted here in 2010.

Erected 2017 by Central Frontenac Railway Heritage Society and Ontario Trillium Foundation.
