Sharbot Lake in Central Frontenac in Frontenac County, Ontario — Central Canada (North America)
CPR Stock Pen
This livestock pen is a reproduction of the enclosure that stood on this site in the early twentieth century, to hold livestock brought to trackside by farmers for shipping to an abattoir. The reproduction was constructed of local hemlock and cedar in 2022, with the support of the Ontario Trillium Foundation, and is approximately one-quarter the area of the original structure.
