Inscription.  
1957-58 von dem Bremer Architekten Eberhard Gildemeister errichtet. Die Rokokofassade aus dem Jahre 1755 stammt von einem im Zweiten Weltkrieg zerstörten Haus an der Schlachte und wurde mit Beteiligung der Bildhauerin Maria Ewel restauriert. Innengestaltung im Zeitgeist der fünfziger Jahre.

Constructed in 1957-58 by the Bremen architect Eberhard Gildemeister. The rococo facade dating back to 1755 belonged to a house on the Schlachte that was destroyed in the Second World War. The sculptor Maria Ewel participated in its restoration. The interior design displays typical features of the nineteen fifties.

Using the gable facade of a Baroque townhouse, Eberhard Gildemeister constructed the new Sparkasse building at the junction of Langenstraße and the market square between 1957 and 1958.
