Veteran actor, Cameron Mitchell, had held his own with such Hollywood heavyweights as Gary Cooper, Susan Hayward, Randolph Scott, Clark Gable, and Jane Russell. "Cam", also co-starred with Jack Nicholson and Millie Perkins in "Ride the Whirlwind", filmed here in Kanab, Utah, for Director Monte Hellman in 1966. Cam found his own international fame as one of the stars of the long running hit television series "High Chaparral", with his role as "Uncle Buck Cannon". Cam had a huge following and reveled in his recognition.
