1. The Original Home of George Thorogood and the Delaware Destroyers Marker
This humble home was the first residence of Blues Hall Of Fame guitarist "Lonesome" George Thorogood purchased on July 1, 1981 after his national rise to prominence. It was the residence and home of George and was frequented by band members in the early 1980's and remained owned by Thorogood until July 15, 2009 when it was acquired and refurbished by Wheeler-Meyer, LLC taking care not to change the original floor plan or character of the original home.
George and the Destroyers released George Thorogood and the Destroyers 1977, Move It On Over 1978, Better Than The Rest 1979 (recorded 1974), and More George Thorogood and the Destroyers 1980. George Thorogood and the Destroyer's most notable songs are: 1 Bourbon, 1 Scotch, 1 Beer, Bad to the Bone, Who Do You Love?, Move it on Over, and I Drink Alone. Following the release of Bad to the Bone in 1982, Thorogood and the Destroyers left Delaware to go on tour. The album went gold and spent nearly a full year on the charts jettisoning them to international prominence
