Inscription.  
1875-78 nach Entwürfen des Berliner Architekten Karl Schwatlo als Vierflügelbau in Formen der Deutschen Renaissance mit markantem Mittelrisalit erbaut. Bis 1926 Sitz der Oberpostdirektion Bremen. Im Inneren der „Kaisersaal" mit bauzeitlichen Dekorationsmalereien des Bremer Künstlers Arthur Fitger. 1971-77 grundlegender Umbau für die Bundespost. Das Renaissanceportal zur Dechanatstraße stammt von dem um 1565 erneuerten und 1875 abgetragenen Domdechanat. Seit 2006 Nutzung durch die Katholische St. Johannis-Schule.

In 1875-78 built according to the design of the Berlin architect Karl Schwatlo as a four-winged building using forms of the German Renaissance and featuring a striking median risalit. Until 1926 head office of the Oberpostdirektion Bremen (Bremen supreme post authority). Inside the "Kaisersaal" is decorated with paintings dating from the construction time and made by the Bremen artist Arthur Fitger. In 1971-77 fundamentally reconstructed for the Bundespost (German Federal Post Office). The portal facing the Dechanatstraße was built in Renaissance style and originally belonged to the Domdechanat
