Inscription.  German:
Bevor das Haus, Maximilianstraße 47, im Stadtbrand von 1621 zerstört wurde, wohnte hier der berühmte Baumeister Michael Mebart, der u. a. die brandzerstörte Stadtkirche wieder aufbaute. Im 1626 neu errichteten Gebäude wurde erstmals 1680 eine Apotheke betrieben.

Feuerwehr-Übung im Jahr 1886 vor den Häusern Maximilianstraße 34 bis 42. Heute ist nur noch das barocke Haus Nr. 38 erhalten.

English:
The famous builder Michael Mebart lived in this house No. 47 before it was destroyed by the city fire of 1621. He rebuilt the Stadtkirche, which was also destroyed by the fire. A new house was built in 1626 and the first pharmacy opened here in 1680.

Fire drill in 1886 in front of the houses 34-42. Merely the Baroque house No. 38 still exists today.
