2. Kjeglebanen / Bowling Alley and marker
In the 18th century, the first open wooden lanes for skittles were built, a kind of precursor to bowling. It was not until the 19th century that it became a widespread game. The game became immensely popular, but was not allowed for women. One of the country's last skittle alleys is located at Langgaardsløkken... The municipality bought the property in 1964 and the skittle alley was restored. Today, the bowling alley is the only preserved bowling alley in Oslo. - Kommune Oslo
