Regarding Fred Baldwin Memorial Home. Built in 1910 by Emily Alexander Baldwin and Henry Perrine Baldwin to provide housing for the elderly. Named for their son Fred Baldwin (1881–1905) who died after undergoing surgery for appendicitis. Originally designed by H.L. Kerr who had earlier designed the Old Wailuku Courthouse. Restored in 2011 by Xorin Balbes to operate as a lodging and educational facility named Lumeria Maui. It was added to the Hawaiʻi Register of Historic Places and the National Register of Historic Places in 2011.

lawn and landscape garden. The wooden buildings reflect a primarily American Craftsman style, but with some Neo-classical and vernacular Japanese details. Although the buildings had fallen into disuse, the 2010-2011 renovation was able to preserve much of the original structure and detail.
