1. Original Memorial Stadium Marker
Inscription. From 1925 to 1961 this site was devoted to Indiana University athletic events, most notably football and track and field. The first Old Oaken Bucket Game was contested here in 1925. The Football Hoosiers posted a record of 69-52-7 in this stadium including an undefeated season and Big Ten Championship in 1945. This venue was also the home track to the 1932 NCAA Track and Field Champion Indiana Hoosiers.
