Inscription.

(English translation:)
Frederik Stangs Street was named in 1891 after lawyer, university lecturer and politician Frederik Stang. He was Norway's first head of government with the title of Prime Minister and was previously the mayor of Christiania.

Shipowner Ivar Anton Christensen built the property as a private residence in the years 1917-1919. He was Haugesund's largest shipowner, and moved to the capital in 1912. The architects Arnstein Arneberg and Erik Andersen designed the building.

The building was one of the very first to have an indoor swimming pool.

In recent years, the building has been converted into offices.

A significant historical year for this entry is 1891.
