Inscription. Seven stone corner markers delineate the boundaries of Huffman Prairie Flying Field. The Wright Brothers used this 84.42 acre tract of farmland, owned by Torrence Huffman, to perfect their flying skills in 1904-1905 and as the site of the Wright Company School of Aviation from 1910-1916. (Marker Number 7.)
