1. Lever Frame Cover Marker

Inscription. On the left is the last surviving example of a North Eastern Railway wood cover for signal and point levers. It probably dates from the 1880s and owing to its significance is listed as Grade II by Historic England.

The North Eastern Railway Association donated this plaque and it was placed here with the kind co-operation of Network Rail in 2021.
