To the left of the door is a depiction of Addison Teachers College, which was located 10 miles west of here. The campus moved to this location in River Forest in 1913. On the right is a panel about the original Concordia log cabin school in Missouri, which opened in 1839.

On the left is a depiction of the Addison Teachers College, which was located in Addison, about 10 miles west of here. The school broke ground on this new campus in River Forest in 1912 and officially moved here in October 1913.

On the right is the Concordia Log Cabin in Perry County, Missouri, the first Lutheran college west of the Mississippi, which was a precursor to this Concordia University in Illinois.
