1. M45 Quadruple / M45 Quadmount Marker
Le M45 Quadruple, composé de quatre mitrailleuses Browning de 12.7 mm, était une arme très efficace contre les avions à basse altitude. La tourelle, actionnée électriquement, était montée sur un Half Track et pouvait tirer 1800 coups à la minute. Trois hommes faisaient fonctionner cette arme: un tireur et deux chargeurs. Vers la fin de la guerre, alors que les attaques de la Luftwaffe sont devenues moins fréquentes, le quad a davantage joué un rôle anti personnel.
The M45 Quadmount, consisting of four 12.7mm Browning machine guns, was a very effective weapon against low flying aircraft. The electrically operated turret was mounted on a Half Track and had a rate of fire of 1800 rounds per minute. Three men operated the weapon, a gunner and two loaders. Towards the end of the war, as Luftwaffe attacks became less frequent, the Quad was increasingly used in an anti personnel role.
