Inscription. Constructed in 1906, as the home of Rocky Mountain Bell Telephone, 22 East Center maintains its historic tradition in a newly transformed state. The telephone system was established by pioneers in the transmission of information who took risks to find solutions. What started as a local concern in Utah, quickly became a tool revolutionizing the world.

Reporting on the construction of the building, the Logan Republic pronounced: "The Bell Building is a fireproof structure containing a basement and two stories. The construction department will have the basement and the business offices and toll rooms are to be on the first floor. In the upstairs part the ‘hello girls’ will reign in their superannuated glory."

As you read this plaque, you are standing in the same spot as the nighttime telephone booth shown in the photograph.

Using the early phone system as a model for enterprise, 22 East Center, re-opened in October 2018. This beautiful building stays true to its heritage by rehabilitating the old and neglected through perseverance and creativity

Conceived by Milieu Design and guided by the mission of Architecture for Lives, this signature piece of real estate undergoes a regeneration into a dynamic fusion of history, art and opportunity.
