Logan in Cache County, Utah — The American Mountains (Southwest)
The Scotsman
Utah State University student Ebenezer J. Kirkham composed the popular Aggie spirit song "The Scotsman" to reflect the culture and geography of beautiful Cache Valley. The song has been sung at sporting events, graduation, and many other official USU events. Few things are more synonymous with USU than Old Main Hill and "The Scotsman." There is no better place to erect this plaque.
The Scotsman
Show me the Scotsman,
Who doesn't love the thistle.
Show me the Englishman
Who doesn't love the rose.
Show me the true blooded
Aggie from Utah,
Who doesn't love the spot...
Where the sage brush grows!
